Christmas Day Dip in aid for Cudeca Hospice

Benalmádena, 15th january 2014

A group of 'Dippers' from the Benalmadena area braved the seas at Christmas to raise funds for the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice. The festive dip, with participants dressed in a variety of costumes, took place in Benidorm. The volunteers were rewarded with a glass of Sol y Sombra and a slice of Christmas cake.

More than 2.256,35 euros were raised for the Hospice, which will help Cudeca to continue offering the 'Special Kind of Caring' to patients suffering from advanced cancer and support to their families. A big 'Thank You' to the sponsors and the crowds of people who gathered to cheer on the 'Dippers'.

These funds will go towards the special care which Cudeca Hospice provides to the 800 patients they attend every year, suffering from advanced non-curable cancer and with support to their families.

On behalf of Joan Hunt, OBE, President and Founder, the Medical Team, patients and their families, we sincerely thank all those involved for making this event possible.

Your friendship and collaboration is essential, allowing Cudeca to Give Life to the Days of patients and families attended to this year, and we hope that together, we can continue to help those who need us most in the future.
