Volunteering in our Charity Shops

Volunteering in our Charity Shops

Volunteers

In May our charity shops opened their doors after more than 2 months of closure. They started with a third of the volunteers as many of them are part of the vulnerable groups. This situation caused many shops to only open in the mornings and others still remain closed.

From the Volunteers Department we launched a volunteer recruitment campaign to attract enough volunteers to open all the stores and even increase their hours.

After several months the volunteer recruitment campaign has had an incredible and very hopeful response to continue to keep our shops open, but we still need more volunteers. We started with less than 40% of shifts operating with between 15% -20% of volunteers. Currently, over three-quarters of the shifts are operating!

There are still many shifts to fill, but the great response we are having in the campaign to recruit volunteers encourages us to think that we are on the right track. WE SEND OUR HEARTFELT THANKS to all the volunteers who are making this possible.

Do you want to join our team of volunteers? Just 4 hour per week.
