The Mayor of Coin inaugurates the new Cudeca Hospice Charity Shop

On 18th December, the Cudeca Hospice Charity Shop in Coín moved to new premises. At the celebration of the opening was the Mayor of Coín, Fernando Fernández and Councillor María Santos.

Also present, from the Cudeca Hospice were Rafael Olalla, Susan Hannam and Aurea Peralta from the volunteers’ department, together with the shop volunteers and friends.

The new Coín shop, situated in Calle Málaga Nº 4 has more space to receive donations from the public, which includes clothes, handbags, books, children’s clothes and much more.  The profit from the sales of these articles will go towards covering the cost of Cudeca’s care programmes, which every year help more than 800 patients with advanced incurable cancer and other diseases, with support to their families and totally free of any cost.

Cudeca Hospice has 12 charity shops in the province of Málaga which are run by dedicated volunteers and this form of fundraising constitutes an important part of Cudeca’s income.
