The Carrefour Charity Foundation awards Cudeca Hospice

On the 21st of February, the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice travelled to Cártama to receive a cheque for 1.000€, being a prize that was awarded for being the most voted project Cauce (Causas Cercanas – Local Causes), organised by the Fundación Solaridad Carrefour (Carrefour Charity Foundation).
The persons in charge of the Cártama Carrefour Express, Miguel A. Moyano and Salvador Freir, awarded this highly treasured donation to Rocío Torres, Manager of Communications and Fundraising at the Cudeca Hospice.

The Cauce project (Causas Cercanas – Local Causes) is an initiative of Fundación Solidaridad Carrefour (Carrefour Charity Foundation) and Carrefour Market which gives an award to non profit making organisations of the province through votes received from the Carrefour Express clients.

Cudeca was the most voted Charity of the Malaga Carrefour Shops (Cártama, Reserva del Higuerón and Torremolinos), in recognition of their free care by helping more than 650 patients with advanced cancer, and their families, through their Home Care, In Patient, Day Care, Rehabilitation and Psycho-social programmes. More than 5.800 patients have been cared from since 1992.

We would like to thank all the Costa del Sol Carrefour clients for their support so that we may continue to Give Life to Days.
