Marbella 4 Days Walking for the Third consecutive year
More than 2,000 international participants of 18 different nationalities left Plaza del Mar square in Marbella to walk various routes during 4 days. This is ninth edition of the event and third consecutive year of collaboration between the Marbella 4 Days Walking organization and CUDECA, raising more than €1,000 to the charity through the online registrations of all of the walkers. The first walkers started on Thursday 17 October, traditionally the quietest day, with a 30 km route that goes through green areas, Puerto Banús and finishes at San Pedro. The following days the walkers saw different parts of Marbella: altos de Marbella, Nagüeles, Lago de Tortugas, sierra Blanca and parts of the beach. At the end of each day, all attendees were able to enjoy in the mornings two great music bands and snacks offered by the local and very well-known pastries and catering GOYO. From noon the music was provided by the DJ team of MOOOV events in a collaboration with a variety of artists. The square was a party plaza everyday where people sang and danced while enjoying a drink. To relax, there was a cozy lounge corner to chill in. On Sunday 20 October, the last day of the event, on the Via Gladiola in Marbella a gladiolus-symbol of victory-were distributed. On the square, the 4-day walkers received a beautiful M4DW medal Next year the Marbella 4 Days will take place on 8/9/10 and 11 October 2020, this will be their 10yh edition and they hope to welcome 2500 participants and make it a great anniversary celebration together. On the 29th October, Presidents of the organization Hans and Clarie Wöhl, got together in a meeting with Vanesa Morales, with the Communication and Fundraising department of the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice, to hand in the fundraising of €1,404. From the Cudeca Hospice, loving thanks are sent to the presidents of Marbella 4 Days Walking and their organization for keeping their connection with CUDECA and helping to allow us to continue caring for more patients and their families at the end of life.
