On Friday 2nd August at 12:00hrs, Cudeca Hospice celebrated the inauguration of the Arroyo de la Miel Charity shop in its new location.  The event took place at the new shop local, located on Avenida García Lorca, near the ice rink and UK Foods.

Attending this official act was the Mayoress of Benalmádena, Paloma García; Inmaculada Hernández, Councilor of Health; Ana Maria Macías, Councilor of Community Participation and Trade and present on behalf of Cudeca was Marisa Martín, Chief Executive and Medical Director; Rafael Olalla, Financial Director; Katie O'Neill, Charity Shops Coordinator; Inma Ruíz, Volunteers Coordinator and the volunteers who dedicate their time to our cause.

The initial move to this new location, took place in mid-June and after a period of organization and adaptation, we are delighted to celebrate the start of a new era in this lovely spacious new venue. Since moving, we are very pleased to report an increase in general activity, which helps us to continue offering our "Special Kind of Caring" to patients suffering from cancer and other advanced and non-curable illnesses, and support to their families. All free of charge.

Cudeca Hospice is always on the search for volunteers to work in the shops and by increasing the number of people helping in the shops, we will be able to open for more hours!  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please send us an e-mail to voluntariado@cudeca.org or call us on tel. 952 564910.  You can also help us by donating items that are in good condition for resale in the shop, or visiting the shop to discover our fantastic anti-crisis prices on clothes, shoes, bric-a-bric etc.!

The Cudeca Hospice Charity Shops operate and are managed thanks to caring volunteers committed to helping us to continue Giving Life to Days to those who need it most.
