CUDECA opens Andalusia’s first Vintage Charity Shop

On 12th May, we inaugurated our first Vintage Charity Shop in Andalusia, which is our 27th charity shop in the province of Malaga.

The charity shop, which will be called "Joan Vintage Charity Shop" in memory of our late founder, is located in the city centre, specifically in Calle Salvago, nº3, next to the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga, and covers 60 square metres.

Set in an eighties décor from donations, this charity shop will be very different from the others because of its selection of vintage clothes and top brands such as Burberry, Lacoste, etc...

As a special feature, the clothes displayed in the shop will also be available to buy online at https://joanbycudeca.org/

The event was attended by Laura Insausti, singer of the band Dry Martina; from Malaga City Council, Ruth Sarabia, Councillor for Citizen Participation and Gemma del Corral, Councillor for the Downtown District; and from Cudeca Foundation, Manager and Medical Director, Dr. Marisa Martín; Mayca Campos, Ambassador; Charity Shop Manager, Daniel Beaudet; and their amazing volunteers.

We need volunteers for our charity shop

We need volunteers to help in our new Charity Shop "Joan Vintage Charity Shop", located at Calle Salvago, 3, Malaga (next to the Thyssen Museum).

Volunteering in our charity shops involves working one shift a week (approx. 4 hours) selling products, sorting donations and customer service.

CUDECA's charity shops are run by volunteers and are the Foundation's main source of income. All the profits generated in CUDECA's charity shops go to the care of people with cancer and other advanced diseases, which is completely free of charge.

Those interested in collaborating can contact the Volunteering Department by emailing voluntariado@cudeca.org or by calling 671 048 304. Also through our social networks @voluntariadocudeca on Facebook and Instagram.

By donating or buying you are helping to care for the end of life.

The charity shops are one of Cudeca Foundation's main sources of funding and are supported by more than 900 volunteers, together with a team of coordinators.

In Cudeca's charity shops you can find almost everything at very good prices: clothes, accessories, furniture, household goods, tools, books... Everything is second-hand, but in very good condition: children's and adults' clothes, accessories and shoes, as well as household goods and decorative objects donated by the community.

And if you have clothes you no longer wear, books you no longer read, accessories and household items you want to exchange, as long as they are in good condition, you can take them to the charity shops.

Furniture Charity Shops

They also have charity furniture shops in Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Torre del Mar and La Cala de Mijas. And if you have furniture in good condition to donate, you can request their free collection service by calling 670 211 028 or emailing muebles@cudeca.org.
