Benalmádena, 21st January 2013

Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice has set up a group to help people living in the Nerja area who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life limiting diseases.  The whole family is affected when this illness is detected so this group provides a place where help, support and information can be found.

The group will meet monthly at the “Caritas” meeting room at the back of the Balcon de Nerja’s church each second Thursday at 11.30am.  The next meeting will take place on Thursday 14th February.

It is a meeting place for patients and their loved ones who are at any stage of the illness, from diagnosis, through treatments, cure and if needed, palliative care. The sessions are open to all, where questions can be asked, experiences shared and find support from others going through the same difficulties.

This group is especially directed at the expats in the Nerja area as many find communication difficult, especially in a crisis situation such as dealing with cancer in a foreign country.
