Jack Nusbaum is organising a Golf-A-Thon in aid of Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice on Sunday 20th June at the Málaga Parador Golf Club from 11:00hrs, hosted by TRE radio presenter and friend of Cudeca, Craig James.

Jack’s team of 4 visually and physically disabled golfers from the association SIGA, will be showing their acquired skills by hitting golf balls at the Malaga Golf Club driving range. Each player will be given 100 golf balls and the aim is to hit as many as possible within a one hour time limit. Each visiting guest will be asked to pick a player to support and contribute 50 centimos for each ball that “makes the cut”.

This event is a way for Craig to thank Cudeca for all the care he has received as a patient over the last year. The funds raised will go towards helping to overcome the economic deficit the In-Patient Unit currently faces and prevent the possibility of its closure by the end of 2010. From the Hospice Centre, Cudeca cares for hundreds of people each year suffering from advanced cancer who need the “Special Kind of Caring” the Hospice offers to the patient and support to the family thanks to the professional team of physicians, psychologists, nurses and volunteers. All the support provided is completely free of charge.

This is a rare opportunity to see SIGA golfers give something back to the community by helping to raise funds for Cudeca. Craig and Gloria will be there to greet and hug with a tremendous loving and emotional welcome! Please come along with your family and friends and support your local Hospice.
