CUDECA celebrates its Annual Gala Dinner in Málaga
On June 16th the CUDECA Foundation celebrated its annual Gala Dinner at the Michelin star chef José Carlos García’s eponymous restaurant on Muelle Uno in Málaga city. The charity event was attended by Cudeca friends and members, volunteers, employees and leading members of Málaga’s business world and public institutions, including the managing director of the Costa del Sol Public Health Agency, Torcuato Romero; the coordinator of public health care procedures, Francisco Martos; social services councillor from the Provincial Council, Lourdes Burgos; deputy secretary of the Official Malaga College of Physicians, Carlos Carrasco; president of the Official Malaga College of Nursing, Juan Antonio Astorga; president of the Official Andalucia College of Physiotherapists, Juan Manuel Nieblas; president of the Professional College of Pharmacists, Francisco Florido; president of the Malaga Foundation, Juan Cobalea; CEO of JJSpain, Manuel Toledo; Marketing Director of FYM Italcementi Group, Tomás Azorín; CEOs of Mi Colchón, Jacobo and Francisco Guerrero; Head of Communication for Vithas Xanit Hospital Internacional, Cristina Rico; Marketing Director of Aurelio Marcos Jewellers, Esther Ruíz; CEO of the López Pardo Group, Antonio López Pardo; E-commerce Director at the Hotel Kempinsky, Jesús Cádiz and on behalf of the CUDECA Foundation, president Ricardo Urdiales; CEO and Medical Director, Marisa Martín; Deputy CEO and Finance Director, Rafael Olalla; and once again, master of ceremonies, Cudeca ambassador and journalist, Domi del Postigo. Guests mingled, enjoying drinks and exquisite haute cuisine tapas on the terrace overlooking Malaga Port while pianist Claudia Fernández entertained them, before moving to the restaurant’s interior for dinner.  Here Marisa Martin gave a short speech, naming Mayca Campos as Ambassador for the Cudeca Foundation in recognition of the work she has done over many years to help the cancer care hospice. A number of local businesses and institutions reserved tables for clients and friends, including JJSPAIN, Segurisur, Distribuciones Luna, The Unicaja Foundation, the Official Malaga College of Nursing, Pinturas Andalucía and Vithas Xanit Hospital Internacional. During the evening guests enjoyed the culinary creations of José Carlos García, who has been awarded two Michelin stars during his career; piano melodies by Claudia Fernández and a charity raffle with fantastic prizes donated by businesses which support CUDECA including Reserva Tauro, Hotel Torrequebrada, El Pimpi Bodega-Bar, AC Málaga Palacio, Hotel Las Palmeras, Estepona Golf, Villa Tiberio, Restaurante Santiago, Hotel El Rompido, Zerimar, La Calma Centro, D-Beauty Group, Vithas Xanit International Hospital, Hotel Puente Romano, Hotel Kempinski Bahía, Restaurante El Laurel, Restaurante La Escalera, Unicaja Baloncesto and RENFE. The gala dinner was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Viveros Guzmán, Bodegas Dimobe, Grupo Jorge Ordoñez, Grupo López Pardo, MiColchón and Fundación Málaga.
