3rd Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic Charity Concert for CUDECA
The Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic is bringing the best in flamenco to its traditional annual charity concert in aid of CUDECA Hospice, to be held this year on Saturday July 7 in the beautiful gardens of the renowned Marbella clinic. The concert, which starts at 20:45, stars the Daniel Casares Quintet, whose members are the prestigious guitarist Daniel Casares, dancer Sergio Aranda, singer Manuel Peralta, violinist Nelson Doblas and percussionist Miguel Ortiz ‘Nene’. Daniel Casares has received many awards during his  brilliant career including the Bordón Minero National Guitar Prize at the 37th Cante de las Minas de La Unión festival in Murcia, being the youngest ever guitarist to receive this award at the age of 16; the Musical Revelation 2005 Prize in New York, awarded by the Latin Entertainment Critics Association of New York (ACE); he also received the Miguel Acal Prize for the best artist of 2005, awarded by the Association of Flamenco Critics and Investigators (AFCAF); the National Guitar Prize at Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona, 1999) and the National Guitar Prize at the First National Guitar Competition in Jaen (1996). All funds raised at the concert will go integrally to helping CUDECA provide its special kind of caring. The Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic collaborates regularly with CUDECA Hospice through the organisation of charity events as well as providing free visits to the clinic for patients and publicising the important care that CUDECA gives.
