Visit from sailors and officers from of the USS Bulkeley
Cudeca Hospice was fortunate to be selected to receive a visit from sailors and officers of the USS “Bulkeley”.
The US Navy ship was in Málaga port for a few days and the crew offered to help with jobs that needed doing around the Hospice, including moving heavy objects, painting, and placing the Christmas star above the entrance.
They also had time to visit patients in the Day Centre and explain what life on the ship is like. This type of action is an opportunity for the sailors to provide support to the community, and to promote cultural exchange. A big thank you for a happy and helpful visit from Cudeca!
