About the Telethon
An increasing number of people suffering from cancer and other advanced and non-curable illnesses choose to spend their final months and days in their own home. Cudeca Hospice supports these patients and their families by providing HOME VISITS TEAMS. A team is made up of a doctor and nurse supported by in-house psychologists, a physiotherapist and social workers. Each team costs Cudeca €100,000 per year and there are now 6 teams, with 2 teams added in the last year.

Cudeca would not exist without private donations and fundraising. Every year, TRE holds a telethon to raise funds to support Cudeca Hospice and once again the TRE TELETHON 2016 aims to raise €100,000 to cover the annual cost of one team.
How can you help?
Help to reach our €100,000 target by holding a fundraising event between now and Telethon Day, no donation is too small. Each little event leading up to the Telethon brings us closer to our goal.
Contact TRE with details of how you plan to raise the money – a team number will be given to you and all listeners and website visitors will be updated regularly with your progress.

Are you or your children still at school?
School participation has always been an important part of the TRE Telethons. This year TRE will be awarding a prize to the school with the most innovative fund-raising idea.
You can agree a non-uniform day with pupils paying €2 for the privilege and proving that everybody, no matter how young, can contribute and make a difference
