The Mayoress of Benalmadena visits the Cudeca Hospice

Benalmádena, 21 de noviembre de 2012

On 19th November, Cudeca had the pleasure of a visit from the Mayoress of Benalmadena, Paloma García Gálvez, to the Hospice Centre, located in Benalmádena.  The aim of the visit was to view the Hospice installations and to experience at first hand the work and care carried out by the staff at the Centre.

The Mayoress was accompanied by the Councillor of Citizen Participation, Ana Macias, and were received on behalf of Cudeca by the Chief Executive and Medical Director, Marisa Martin, and the Financial Director, Rafael Olalla, who were delighted to give their guests a guided tour around the Hospice, raising their awareness of the welfare programs that provides free assistance to more than 750 people each year with advanced and non-curable illnesses and support to the families.

During her visit to Cudeca Hospice, the Mayoress congratulated all the Cudeca staff and volunteers for their continued support and commented that "The Municipal Government has a strong commitment to Cudeca, for the care and attention provided to people suffering from advanced and non-curable illnesses and their families, both from the Hospice centre and from their homes. This is why we must be at their disposal to help them in whatever they need and promote all necessary initiatives to raise funds, enabling Cudeca to continue offering its Special Kind of Caring throughout the province of Málaga ".

Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice wholeheartedly thanks the Benalmádena Town Hall for their continued support.  Together we can continue to Give Life to Days to those who need us most.
