The Mayor of Málaga inaugurates the New Cudeca Hospice Charity Shop

On 18th June, the Cudeca Hospice Cancer Care opened a new charity Shop in Malaga Centre. At the celebration of the opening was the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre  and Councillor Francisco Pomares and Councillor District 1 Gemma del Corral, together with the shop volunteers and friends.

The new Málaga shop, situated in Calle Puerta Nueva Nº 3 has more space to receive donations from the public, which includes clothes, handbags, books, children’s clothes and much more.  The profit from the sales of these articles will go towards covering the cost of Cudeca’s care programmes, which every year help more than 800 patients with advanced incurable cancer and other diseases, with support to their families and totally free of any cost.

Cudeca Hospice has 13 charity shops in the province of Málaga which are run by dedicated volunteers and this form of fundraising constitutes an important part of Cudeca’s income.
