Suomi Lions Club of Torremolinos visit Cudeca Hospice

On Friday, 19th February the Suomi Lions Club of Torremolinos visited Cudeca Hospice in Benalmádena to see for themselves the care being given to patients in the final stages of life and to get to know first hand the programmes being offered, all free of cost.
 
To welcome the visitors were Susan Hannam, Cudeca Hospice Vice President and Angel Krebbers, Communication & Fund Raising.  The Lions Club was represented by Matti Kuusisto, President; Pekka Eskelinen, Treasurer; Raija Pikkarainen, Co-ordinator and other members. 

The guests were shown the In-Patient Unit, an actual patient's room, the beautiful gardens with waterfall, the Day Centre and Training Room, where Susan Hannam gave a short talk about Cudeca's work supported by a video.  

Finally, Joan Hunt OBE, Honorary President and Founder and Marisa Martin, Chief Executive & Medical Director joined everyone to thank the Lions Club for coming and above all to show their appreciation for all the support given over many years. 
 
Cudeca Hospice was very grateful to be presented with a cheque by the Club's Treasurer to the value of 500 euros, which will go towards covering the costs of the professional care given to their patients. 
 
Cudeca Foundation gives heartfelt thanks to the Lions Club Suomi of Torremolinos for their past and continued generosity.
