Re-opening of Torremolinos Charity Shop

THE TOWN HALL OF TORREMOLINOS AND CUDECA CANCER CARE HOSPICE INAUGURATED THE RE-OPENING OF THE TORREMOLINOS CHARITY SHOP

5th OCTOBER 2007

The re-opening of the Cudeca Torremolinos Charity Shop took place on Friday 5th October in the Andalucia Square in Torremolinos.

After enduring four years of a car park construction, practically on the shop doorstep and re-furbishments made to the shop, Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice was delighted to be able to launch the re-opening of the shop to the media and local Council.  The inauguration was well attended by the Deputy Mayor of Torremolinos Dr. Plácido González Guzman, Joan Hunt, OBE President and Founder of Cudeca, Rafael Olalla, Financial Director, Rocio Torres, Manager of the Fundraising dept., various members of staff from Cudeca and of course our dedicated volunteers.

The Charity shops and their Volunteers form a very special and important part of Cudeca, and thanks to their dedicated work, the yearly net income they achieve has paid for the majority of our patient home care expenses.
