Marbella recognises our volunteers

The Marbella Town Hall has today recognized the work of the volunteers from our charity shop in Marbella (Avenida del Mar), in an event attended by the Mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the Councillor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado.

The Councillor has given a diploma to five women representing all the volunteers who have been in the establishment for more than 10 years "to recognize their solidarity and selfless work in aid of CUDECA Hospice. "They will always have our institutional and budgetary support," said Muñoz, who recalled that this year from the City Council has awarded a grant to the entity of 20,000 euros, which is intended for the home care program.

Aurea Peralta, Cudeca Head of Institutional Relations, thanked the gesture of the Town Hall and stressed "the constant support that always gives us the Consistory to develop our functions through the two shops we have open in this town, one in Marbella and another in San Pedro Alcántara, and the 100 volunteers we have. Finally, she commented that since 1993 the entity has treated almost 700 patients in Marbella.
