Marbella Golf & Country Club presents cheque to Cudeca Hospice from One-Eyed Jack Tournament

On 15th March, members of the Marbella Golf & Country Club presented to Cudeca Hospice a cheque from their “One-Eyed Jack Tournament”.

Jack Smith, one of the members of the golf club, who lost one eye due to illness, had the idea to organise a tournament called "One-Eyed Jack".  This tournament was held on Friday, 25th September, 2015.

All the members who participated played with a patch on one eye and the funds raised went to Cudeca Hospice. All together 1,050 euros was raised. This funds will go towards covering the costs of the free of charge home visit programme, the in-patient unit, day unit and rehabilitation that are carried out each day, where we assist more than 1.000 people a year with cancer and other incurable illnesses in an advanced stage, as well as offering help to their families in the province of Málaga.

Cudeca would like to give their heartfelt thanks to Marbella Golf & Country Club and all the members for their kindness and efforts in organising the Tournament, which thankfully will become an annual event.
