Malaga City Council has contributed 30,000 euros to the Home Care Programme.

Malaga City Council has contributed 30,000 euros to the Home Care Programme.

The Mayor of Malaga, Mr. Francisco de la Torre, pledged to support the Cudeca Foundation in its Home Care Programme for people with cancer and other advanced illnesses in the municipality of Malaga, through the Sunflower Effect Campaign.

The Mayor's commitment has materialised through the granting of a subsidy of 30. 30,000 euros, through the Department of Social Rights, Equality, Accessibility, Inclusive Policies and Housing, being aware of the need to cover the situation of vulnerability in which people who are going through a process of advanced oncological or chronic illness may find themselves, as a result of the emotional and social impact that this difficult situation can generate, as well as supporting them in the process of adaptation they are facing, in order to favour the accompaniment, care and relief of both the patients themselves and their families, so that this experience is lived with the least possible suffering, with the utmost dignity and always guaranteeing the patient's right to autonomy and active participation in the process of their illness and in decision making.

The Cudeca Foundation is grateful to the municipality of Malaga, in which it is integrated, as it has almost 400 volunteers from the municipality, as well as 8 charity shops, in which an information plaque of this support will be displayed to the public.
