La Comba visits the Cudeca Hospice Centre

On the 10th of February, the local federation AMPA “La Comba” visited the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice at Benalmadena, with the view to seeing the Centre for themselves and also the need to raise funds to cover the costs of the care programmes that are provided and to continue caring for the more than 650 persons who suffer from incurable cancer and their families, all of which are free of charge.

The members of “La Comba” were greeted at Cudeca by Mª Jesús de la Ossa, the nursing care coordinator; Angel Rodríguez, communications personnel and Conchi Bachiller, a Cudeca volunteer, who explained the various programmes carried out by Cudeca. They were also informed of the next Cudeca Walkathon, to take place on Sunday, the 15th of May, where everyone can take part either by walking or being a volunteer, so that we may together raise funds to add life to days for the many people who need our support.

The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice would like to thank the group for the interest shown and their undertaking of “La Comba” to help us in our Special Way of Caring.

Since 1992, Cudeca has helped more than 5.800 patients with incurable cancer and their families through the Home Care, Out Patients and Counselling, Psycho-social, Day Centre and Rehabilitation and In Patient programmes, all of which are free of charge.
