On June 1, Keiron Mccafferty, a 13 years-old boy from Riviera del Sol, started his own charity program called “Kieron´s Get Fit for Cudeca!” to get in shape and raise funds to help us to continue our special kind of caring for many people who need us and during the whole month of June 2021.
Keiron loves playing pool and is very sociable and has one of the biggest hearts, as his mother said to Cudeca. Keiron really wanted to make a change and wanted to make a difference at the same time, as his family is going through cancer and have lost some along the way it felt like the right thing to do, and this is his main motivation.
Kieron will be exercising every day and watching his diet for the whole month of June. If the community wishes to boost his motivation, he can be sponsored or receive donations on behalf of the Cudeca Hospice.
Initiatives like this will help the Cudeca Hospice to continue caring for many people at the end of their lives and also their relatives; giving support to more than 1.600 people every year and offering home care to all in need in the province of Málaga. This event is also providing a great example to many others who see it, and the Cudeca Hospice team is ready to help the community to continue celebrating charity events in aid of the hospice.
All in Cudeca are proud to be able to count on young people as Kieron with such a big heart and full of energy to improve themselves and help others. A big thank you and recognition is sent out to Kieron and his family for committing to such high values and morals and for giving themselves into our cause.
