Great night at the Cudeca Hospice charity gala dinner

The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice held its usual gala dinner on June 28 with the aim of raising funds to continue caring for people with cancer and other advanced illnesses and offer support to their families.

More than 190 people enjoyed the exceptional cuisine of José Carlos García and his team at his restaurant in Muelle Uno, Málaga, raising more than 16,000€  which will be used for the important care provided by the Cudeca Foundation, which every year assists more than 1,400 people and offers support to more than 2,100 family members, totally free of charge.

The evening began with an exquisite cocktail of flavours and a Venenciadora, courtesy of the Málaga and Sierra de Málaga Wines Regulatory Council, welcoming the attendees. Once the cocktail had finished the diners went inside the restaurant to continue with the Gala dinner. Afterwards, Domi del Postigo, ambassador of Cudeca and journalist, conducted the traditional raffle with fantastic gifts donated by companies as well as the special raffle of the painting "Blood Pearls" by the artist Diego Checa.

 

To end the night, the President of Cudeca, Ricardo Urdiales and the Executive & Medical Director, Marisa Martín, gave a bunch  flowers to José Carlos García and Lourdes Luque for their continuous support and affection.

The dinner counted with the participation of tables representing solidarity companies  such as Unicaja Banking Foundation, Pinturas Andalucía, Official College of Nursing of Málaga, Official College of Doctors, Social Work "la Caixa", JJ SPAIN, Distribuciones Luna, Top Digital, Vithas Xanit Hospital Internacional, Segurisur, CLC World Foundation, Official College of Doctors of Málaga and FYM Italcementi Group.

 

Also in attendance were representatives of the Professional College of Physiotherapists of Andalusia, Professional College of Pharmacists, the Consulate of Saudi Arabia, the British Consulate in Malaga; CLC World Foundation, Malaga Foundation, Peñarroya Group, Kempinsky Hotel Bahia, Jewellery Aurelio Marcos and De Cotta Law.
