Fun & supportive night at the Charity Dinner celebrated in the Hong Kong Restaurant Jardín Botánico in La Cala de Mijas

On the 28th December 2018, the annual charity dinner at the Hong Kong – Jardín Botánico restaurant in La Cala de Mijas was celebrated to help us raising €2,200 to be dedicated to the care provided to many patients and relatives.

Sofía Wu, owner of the Hong Kong Restaurant Jardín Botánico, held a charity dinner party with the attendance of more than 60 guests willing to enjoy the night for a great cause. A special mention goes to Charlie Mullins of local Plumbers Pimlico, who gave a donation of €1.000 entirely for the Hospice. John Sharples (half of the Dragtastic performers) made an excellent job of entertaining donating his time for free. Many raffle prizes were donated by local businesses and residents enabling the organizers to raise this fabulous amount of money to help us. Sofia & family, Linda and Tom donated their time in setting up & organising the charity dinner.

On the 23rd January, Sofía Wu and Linda Donaghy have gathered up with Esther Ráez from the Communication and Fundraising department of the Hospice to present the cheque donation of their fundraising €2.200. Sofía has declared with emotion that: “All I do for CUDECA is to help and we are all happy to collaborate with this annual charity dinner. This is also a way of having fun, eating well and help others”. On her side, organizer and helper Linda stated that: “I wish every year we can raise even more money. Plimlico people with Charlie Mullins were so generous to add up another €1.000 to the total and we had such a great night with our raffle and entertainment. It has a been a very worthy event”.
