BCS Consultores & CUDECA Agreement

BCS Consultores & CUDECA Agreement

On 26 October, we signed an agreement with BCS Consultores with the aim of advising CUDECA on digital strategy. Through this agreement, BCS Consultores will advise the Hospice on online strategies for its new Centre for Training and Research in Palliative Care. The advice from BCS will enable CUDECA to disseminate its training offer through its website, as well as offering online training through an e-learning platform integrated into the website.

The objective of the Yusuf Hamied Centre for Training and Research in Palliative Care of the Cudeca Hospice is to train professionals of all levels and branches in the specific knowledge and skills of palliative care. Its mission is to improve and professionalize the quality of the care provided at the end of life. Its construction, scheduled for the beginning of 2019, was made possible thanks to the donation of Dr. Yusuf Hamied, president of Cipla.

On behalf of BCS Consultores, Víctor Modesto, President and Founding Partner  and Antonio Arjona, Commercial Director, were present; as on behalf of the Cudeca Hospice, the event was attended by Marisa Martín Roselló, Chief Executive and Medical Director and Belén Moncada Durruti, Head of the Centre for Training and Research in Palliative Care at the Foundation, among other attendees.

As Marisa Martín, Chief Executive and Medical Director, pointed out, this agreement "constitutes a sample of the social commitment of BCS Consultores de Negocio, which selflessly offers Cudeca its know-how at a 0-cost contract in aid of CUDECA. In this, we resemble BCS and CUDECA, as our welfare work is at zero cost".

Víctor Modesto
, President and Founder of BCS Consultores de Negocio, stated: "Today, 80% of any business passes through the Internet, and it is the channel that offers the best return on investment. Therefore, for us to help CUDECA  on what we know best is a privilege, and we are going to guide them in the development of their training offer by means of two main branches: technology and marketing".

Thanks to this agreement, the Cudeca Hospice will be able to develop its training project (both face-to-face and online) in palliative care, offering specialized training to health professionals. In addition, CUDECA's training project will help to cope with the increase in patient numbers, which has doubled in the last five years.

Since 1992, the Cudeca Hospice has participated in the training in palliative care of more than 3,000 professionals from all branches of care (MIR, EIR, PIR, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, formulist pharmacists, etc.). Also, every year different postgraduate students and professionals carry out internships or training stays at its Centre located in Benalmádena (Málaga). In the last two years alone, 74 professionals from different countries such as Sweden, Norway, Mexico and several cities in Spain have passed through its Inpatient-Unit, its Day Care-Unit and its Home Care Teams, getting to know and working in the field with the CUDECA staff. The Hospice  provides specific training on the subject for health institutions as well. The professionals at CUDECA are both teachers of the Diploma and Master's Degree in Palliative Care that the Hospice offers together with the University of Malaga.
