Prize-giving  V Charity Mile Run of Fuengirola for CUDECA

The Fuengirola Town Hall in collaboration with the Fuengirola Athletic Club celebrated the V Charity Mile Run of Fuengirola to help the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice on Saturday, 8th June 2019 at Los Boliches promenade.

Thanks to the more than 200 participants that attended the Charity Mile Run, it was possible to raise more than 700 euros.

The winners of the race, which started at San Rafael´s Square in Los Boliches, were Alfonso Toledo from Algeciras Club in male category and Rachel Brown from Border Harriers Club in female category.

The councillor for Sports of Fuengirola town hall, Pedro Cuevas Martín, Fuengirola´s “El Horno” bakery representative, Andrés Molina, Cudeca´s fundraising department representative, Vanesa Morales Dorado and the President of Fuengirola´s Athletic Club, Juan Camacho, attended to the Prize-Giving ceremony.

Cudeca Hospice would like to express its deep appreciation to Fuengirola´s Town Hall and Athletic Club for the organisation of this V Charity Mile Run as well as to all the participants and volunteers. Also, we would like to thank Mijas Decathlon for its collaboration.

All the funds raised at The Mile will go integrally to continue helping every year to more than 1,400 patients with cancer and other advanced illnesses and to give support to their families completely free of charge. Since 1992 more than 15,000 patients and their families have been attended by Cudeca Hospice Palliative Care Centre.
