Cudeca Foundation participated last November 3, 2022 in the third edition of the Conference on Multidisciplinary Care of patients affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) held at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Málaga.

Through its Neurology and Neurophysiology service, it attends to the comprehensive needs of more than 35 patients affected by this disease every year, in coordination with a multidisciplinary team that has been working for eleven years, where each case is discussed on a personalized basis. This team meets every 2 months in a Care Commission and is made up of Neurology and Neurophysiology, Pneumology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Endocrinology and Nutrition, Intensive Care Medicine, Case Management Nursing, as well as the full support of Cudeca Foundation.

The conference brought together patients affected by the disease, relatives and professionals as a meeting point to address the issues of most interest and aspects as varied as the historical trajectory of the multidisciplinary team, aspects of humanization in the care of these patients, the future of the evolution of the cases, and a discussion to encourage debate and clarify doubts.
