Cudeca Hospice given NGO accreditation by Fundación Lealtad

Cudeca Hospice has received NGO status from Fundación Lealtad. This is a unique recognition in Spain which assures donors that Cudeca Hospice is accomplishing the actual requirements of transparency and efficiency. Thanks to this status, donors are assured that Cudeca Hospice are concentrating their efforts in those areas in which they are experienced, that their communications are honest and trustworthy and that donors can see what percentage of their donation goes towards Cudeca's mission, after expenses.

Cudeca Hospice attends and cares for more than 1,000 people annually with cancer and other illnesses in an advanced stage and without the possibility of a cure, with support to the family, within the province of Málaga. This special professional care is given totally free. 

Fundación Lealtad is a non-profit making institution, pioneers in Spain and established in 2001. Its mission is to promote confidence within the Spanish community for NGO's, to encourage an increase in donations, as well as any other type of support and collaboration with NGO's. It offers to private people and businesses independent and objective  information on accredited NGO's to help them decide which ONG they would like to collaborate with and guide them into following up their donations. The results of a full analysis carried out by Fundación Lealtad, has concluded that Cudeca Hospice fulfils totally the 9 points of transparency and good practices. Patricia de Roda, Director General of the Loyalty Foundation said "Cudeca Hospice has amongst other points, functioned well, is fulfilling its responsibilities and utilizing its resources efficiently, it is a sustainable entity and its communications are honest and trustworthy, as well as coherent in its activities and its general mission".

The ONG accreditation is valid for two years and Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice is authorised to use the symbol in all its communications, including fundraising materials. De Roda commented "The spanish community has evolved and become more demanding concerning its institutions which includes ONG's.  With the Loyalty Foundation symbol, the community and businesses can be assured that Cudeca Foundation is an ONG to which one can donate with complete confidence".

The ONG accreditation with its rigorous process is endorsed by the Loyalty Foundation and its experience since 2001, having analysed more than 270 NGO's and detailed more than 1,000 reports of transparency and good practices. It's methods are recognized nationally and internationally.
