Cudeca Hospice attends the Asociación Girasol inauguration of their Meeting Place

On 23rd of January, Cudeca Hospice attended the inauguration of the Sunflower Association's "Meeting Place" at the Casa de la Cultura de Alameda in Málaga.  

Palliative Care professionals there were Cath Groome, Co Founder, Dr. Antonio Ortega and Rita Fernández from Hospital de Antequera, Dr. Rafael Gómez representing Cudeca Hospice, Antonio Torres de la Piedra, President and Psychologist, Sarah Hartley, Nurse & Manager of Meeting Place and Maribel Baena, Assistant.

The Sunflower Association (Asociación Girasol) is a non profit making organisation, founded by Catherine Anne Groome, Dra. Sara Martínez Membrilla and Juanjo Romero Jiménez in 2011, which gives support and advice, be it for health, psychological, social or spiritual to those with a non curable illness in an advanced stage, with help to their family and their home helps.  They also provide a full range of palliative care services to the communities of Alameda, Fuente de Piedra, Humilladero and Mollina. 
 
Cudeca Hospice congratulates the Sunflower Association for its work in palliative care and wishes them all the very best with their new Meeting Place.
