Cudeca holds its 20th Anniversary Scientific Palliative Care Conference

Benalmádena, 7th November 2012

Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice organised a Scientific Conference commemorating its 20th anniversary, for professionals and individuals interested in end of life care.
In the 20 years offering our Special Kind of Caring, we have shared our experiences with colleagues who have dedicated over 20 years of their time to Cudeca, and personally provided us with their professional experience in Palliative care.
 
The opening ceremony in the Sala Maria Cristina, was chaired by Joan Hunt OBE, Founder and President of Cudeca, accompanied by D. Enrique Cruz, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Government of Andalusia, D. Francisco de la Torre, Mayor of Malaga, D. Paco Pomares, Councillor of the Malaga Town Hall; D. Juan Antonio Astorga President of the College of Nursing Malaga; D. Jose Antonio Ortega, Vice President of the Medical Association of Malaga; Ms. Maria Isabel Calero, Vice Chancellor of University of Malaga and D. Diego Vazquez, Head of the Education and Unicaja Social Charity Work.
 
The second day of the conference was held at the Hotel Silken Puerta Malaga and was attended by Ms Ana Mata, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Malaga; Ms. Montserrat Buisan, Assistant Director of Social Integration Foundation "la Caixa", and Ms. Marisa Martin, CEO and Medical Director Cudeca.
