Join Cindy Jones and a group of friends on Sunday 02 May, 2010 for a 5km sponsored walk from Competa to Canillas de Albaida to raise money for Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice Care Hospice.

 

The idea first started in 2006 as sadly many of us had lost family and friends to Cancer. Instead of travelling back to the UK to join a “Race for Life” in aid of Cancer Research UK where annually up to 750,000 women participate at one of the numerous venues across various cities and towns across the UK, we decided to arrange a local event and support Cudeca.

 

For the last four years, the majority of walkers have been ladies, so this year during the current economic climate, Cindy is appealing to everyone to join them. Sadly cancer does not recognise a recession and will continue to affect one person in three, which is sadly confirmed as the numbers increase.

This care Cudeca offers is completely free of charge, so they depend entirely on initiatives for fundraising so as to ensure they can continue to provide the “Special Kind of Caring” to those who need it most.
