We have organized the 1st International Scientific Conference on Palliative Care "Summer School" on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.
 
A series of important seminars, which will take place from the 12th to the 14th of June in Malaga, with the aim of bringing together health professionals and researchers from different countries, who share the common vision to care for and respect the dignity of the people in the last stage of their life, supported by quality personalized professional care.
 
We organize these workshops as a member of the International Collaborative for Best Care for the Dying Person, promoted by Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute of Liverpool.
 
These workshops are addressed to members of the International Collaborative, as well as other health professionals who wish to meet and participate in this international palliative care expert program and provide an excellent forum for the exchange of knowledge and research.
 
On 12th, 13th and 14th June different conferences and workshops on palliative care will be held at the Cudeca Center for the Palliative Care and at the Rectory of the University of Málaga. It will include the participation of important international health professionals such as Professor John Ellershaw (England), Dr. Susie Wilkinson (England), Dr. Javier Rocafort (Spain), Professor Mark Boughey (Australia), Gethe Skorpen Norway), Dr. Catriona Mayland (England), Dr. Vilma Tripodoro (Argentina), Franzisca Fomeisen (Switzerland), Anette Duarte (Sweden) and Dr. Marisa Martín, Chief Executive & Medical Director of the Cudeca Hospice.
 
On 14th June, from 16:00h onwards, our  25th Anniversary commemorative conference about  "The values ​​that constitute our identity" will be held in the Rector's Hall of the University of Málaga (Paseo del Parque) by the reowned doctor in oncology and coordinator of the Palliative Care Program of the Balearic Islands Health Care Goverment, Enric Benito. This conference is open to full capacity.
 
This International Scientific Congress has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Málaga City Council, Diputación de Málaga, Universidad de Málaga and AC Hotel Málaga Palacio.
