Hoteliers belonging to the Malaga Association of Restaurateurs (AMARES), donate 4000€ to four entities and NGO's from the funds raised during the Malaga Film Festival.

This solidarity gesture transpired at the last edition of the Malaga Film Festival in which a group of AMARES hoteliers, together with the Malaga Film Festival, agreed that restaurants would offer special menu deals to all film festival participants and the accredited and that the funds raised would be donated to assist institutions in most need of financial support.

After reviewing several candidates, it was decided that one of the beneficiaries should be a local entity related to the arts and culture. This is the case with the Grupo Cienfuegos, which is comprised of a young group of artists who seek and attend to new cultural projects helping promote cultural awareness activities throughout Malaga.

In addition, a donation in the amount of 1000€ will be made to the Cudeca Hospice, Luis Olivares Foundation and the Little Sisters of the Poor.

This solidarity gesture is intended to help all those cultural entities and NGO's in Malaga who work hard daily to help others and tieing into the Malaga Film Festival, a festival so loved by its people, makes it even more unique and special.

The 12 restaurants that actively participated are as follows: Strachan, Lo Güeno, Los Hidalgos, Taberna Gallega, Los Mellizos, Quitapenas, La Canasta, Taberna Mitjana, El Pimpi, El Rescoldo, Taberna Cantarrana y Bar Jamón, all belonging to the recently created Malaga Association of Restaurateurs (AMARES)

Last year they offered a unique gastronomic experience and this year, united with AMARES, they intend to reinforce this agreement and carry out more projects within the Malaga Film Festival which up to now has proven to be successful. At present they are brainstorming new ideas and proposals in which both the Malaga Film Festival and Hoteliers can work together to make the festival even more grand.
