Charity Shops volunteers meetings

On May 14 and 22, meetings were held in our training hall for Cudeca’s charity shop volunteers. The volunteers registered to take part on one of these days, at their convenience, and the sessions began with a welcome coffee for all the volunteers to get to know one another, followed by a discussion of different aspects of their daily activity in the shops. We selected the subjects for discussion after visiting the shops and speaking with the volunteers, basing them on the aspects which were of most interest: how to improve sales and how to deal with bargaining, amongst others. At the end, all the volunteers were shown around the Hospice Centre.

For the volunteers, this visit to the Hospice offers, besides the opportunity to see the Centre, also the opportunity to meet volunteers from other Cudeca charity shops, and exchange thoughts about their experiences in this area. Feedback on the sessions has been very positive in general, and we already have some ideas for more meetings of this type in the future.
