Be a part of a community that helps to transform lives
Volunteering at Cudeca means being part of a great team of caring individuals committed to the same purpose, discovering the value of small gestures, and seeing how your contribution generates an impact on the lives of many people, as well as on the development of palliative care.
In the Volunteer Department, we are responsible for welcoming, training, and accompanying those who wish to collaborate, ensuring that every volunteer finds the place where they can best contribute their time.
Our commitment is to ensure that volunteers participating in our various programmes enjoy an enriching experience, creating spaces for learning, mutual support, and personal growth.
At Cudeca, we not only care for those we serve, but we also care for those who help us make it possible.
Joining Cudeca's volunteer network is very simple.
Just fill out the form and our team will get in touch with you to guide you and accompany you through the next steps.
If you prefer, you can also contact the Volunteer Department directly, either by phone (+34 671 048 304) or by email (voluntariado@cudeca.org). We will be delighted to answer your questions and tell you about the areas where you can collaborate, according to your availability and interests.
Taking the first step is opening the door to an experience in which your time and your skills mean a lot to people who are in delicate situations.
At Cudeca, we have several ways to collaborate: each programme requires different profiles, and all of them are essential!
Here, you accompany, listen to, and offer support to patients and families within Cudeca's patient care volunteer programmes: home care, the inpatient unit, nursing homes, the Marítimo Hospital, pediatric care, and patient transportation.
Collaborating in the charity shops means bringing Cudeca closer to the community through receiving and sorting donations, assisting customers with their purchases, and decorating the shop and window displays.
Every year, the community organises many events to benefit Cudeca. As a volunteer in this programme, you help in the organisation and development of events that support the cause: promotion, setup, customer service, and information tables with charity collection tins and solidarity sunflowers, among other tasks.
You can take charge of placing, maintaining, and supervising charity collection tins at various locations (businesses, shops, public spaces), which helps raise visibility and funds for the cause.
Collaborate in the activities that make Cudeca's day-to-day work possible: taking care of our spaces, supporting the teams, and bringing your energy where it is needed most. Your help keeps the spirit of the centre alive and ensures everything runs with love and efficiency.

Volunteering brings an element of human satisfaction to my life by carrying out an activity with a social purpose — something I don't experience in my professional work.
I see how what Cudeca does inspires many volunteers.
Charity collection tins volunteer
When I return home after spending a few hours providing companionship within the Inpatient Unit, it's as if everything falls into place. We start giving importance to very small things and details.
Patient care volunteer
I had already collaborated actively in other social projects through NGOs, but I always felt those projects were far removed from my reality, and now I wanted to work on something more tangible. Cudeca has met all my expectations.
Hospice volunteer
Going out with the collection tins allows me to connect with the community. The generosity of people on the street is heartwarming; together, we make sure Cudeca's care stays free.
