Cudeca renews its Postgraduate Degrees with the University of Malaga
Cudeca Hospice and the University of Malaga (UMA) have renewed their collaboration for another year to offer Postgraduate Degrees in Palliative Care. Cudeca's commitment to university training has been echoed by the educational institution. For more than a decade, postgraduate courses in Palliative Care have had a continuous presence in the educational proposal of the UMA. Thanks to the renewal of the agreement, the three courses currently on offer will be available again for the 2022/2023 academic year. This offer has three different degrees that are aimed at graduates in Medicine, Nursing, Psychology and Social Work. The Master's in Interdisciplinary Lifelong Learning in Palliative Care will thus reach its fourth edition next academic year, with a blended learning format that offers students the flexibility and ease of use of the University's online educational platform. For the second consecutive year, a fully online master's degree will also be offered. Under the title of Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning in Palliative Care for People with Advanced Illnesses, this degree is a very attractive alternative for students who are unable to attend classes in person. Finally, the University Expert Course in Palliative Care has also been renewed and is now in its third edition. The University is the organiser of this programme of postgraduate courses which in turn draws on the theoretical and practical knowledge derived from the activity of the Cudeca Foundation, thus achieving quality training, closely linked to the practical aspects of patient care and the philosophy of comprehensive care which has characterised Cudeca's activity for the last 30 years. This is a charitable initiative, as 100% of the students' tuition fees go towards financing the activities of Cudeca's Hospice in Benalmádena. Andalusian Health Service The link with the training of professionals is also reflected in the collaboration with the Andalusian Health Service. Cudeca Institute will organise and deliver 18 courses on end of life issues to Andalusian Health Service professionals from the Hospital Clínico Universitario and the Costa del Sol Health District during the year 2022. Most of the courses will be delivered online, but face-to-face training will also be resumed.
