Welcome to the CUDECA & TALK RADIO EUROPE "One in a Million" Campaign. A fund-raising event to finance a dedicated children´s & teenager´s facility in memory of Joan Hunt, their founder.
From Friday 26th to Sunday 28th of November - a date for your diary. It´s the day of the One in a Million fund raiser for Cudeca´s lastest project. Cudeca was created thanks to the vision and drive of Joan Hunt, who sadly passed away earlier this year. And She was One in a Million.
So join us on TRE on the weekend of 26th to 28th of November and let´s get the job done.
"One in a Million" Campaign
To form a lasting legacy, Cudeca will be creating the first ever hospice palliative care unit for children and teenagers in Spain. In addition to providing an in-patient facility, the money raised will support the organisation and training of a team of professionals to provide home care, day-care and in-patient care for children and teenagers suffering from the life-limiting conditions suffered by children that are considered appropriate for children’s palliative care which is currently only available in adult facilities.
Cudeca's Paediatric Palliative Care Unit
A Unit that would include specialised comprehensive care and compassionate accompaniment of children and young people as well as their families including not only parents, but also siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles.... the whole family. A Unit with an expert team of professionals (doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, music, art and play therapists, teachers, physiotherapists, ....) and volunteers, to care:
