Last July 22nd, 2024<\/span> the Benalm\u00e1dena Town Hall<\/a><\/strong> through the Department of Social Welfare and Dependency, agreed to award a grant of \u20ac25,000 to the Cudeca Foundation to fund the project for another year: <\/span>\"PLAY-PAL: CARING AT THE END OF LIFE THROUGH PLAY\"<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In compliance with the objectives of the Benalm\u00e1dena Town Council's Strategic Plan for 2024, this is a project of social interest that brings added value to the community by normalising the daily lives of pediatric patients, their families, and caregivers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With play and recreational activities at its core, the project promotes patient well-being across all levels through CUDECA Hospice Foundation\u2019s interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care team: physical and functional through physiotherapy; affective, emotional, and social-familial via psychological care and social work; and social and recreational with play as the primary catalyst.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, we would like to thank the Benalm\u00e1dena Town Council for its commitment to our comprehensive care model, which involves the community through volunteer participation.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
