Have you ever thought about volunteering for CUDECA Hospice in the summer? Well, here is CUDECA to make it easy for you: Only 4 hours – 1 day a week!<\/b><\/p>\n

The Cudeca Hospice Foundation, in order to give its year-round volunteers a break and to ensure that all shifts of its charity shops are open, has launched a volunteer recruitment campaign for this summer.<\/p>\n

CUDECA is a Malaga-based NGO that cares for and accompanies more than 1,800 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses (palliative care) every year and offers support to more than 2,400 family members. All their care is completely free of charge and is coordinated by doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists and physiotherapists and supported by volunteers.<\/p>\n

CUDECA has 27 charity shops selling items donated by the community, mainly clothes, which are one of the Hospice’s main sources of income. They are located throughout the province: M\u00e1laga, Torremolinos, Benalm\u00e1dena, Fuengirola, La Cala de Mijas, Marbella, San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara, Estepona, Rinc\u00f3n de la Victoria, Torre del Mar, Nerja, Co\u00edn and Alhaur\u00edn el Grande.<\/p>\n

The volunteers are the driving force behind their shops and help customers as they enter, ensuring that the shop is beautiful and well organised. They also help with the reception and sorting of the donations they receive and, above all, share Cudeca’s mission in palliative care.<\/p>\n

Summer volunteering: 1 day a week for only 4 hours<\/b><\/p>\n

CUDECA is looking for people who want to enjoy every moment of the summer, including those in solidarity. Volunteers are needed to collaborate 4 hours a week, in the shifts of the shops that are free during the holidays.<\/p>\n

Volunteers contribute their time, skills, love and commitment to what they do and at the same time they create bonds with other volunteers, and, in addition, some of them practice English while they collaborate!<\/p>\n

As a volunteer you will:<\/b><\/p>\n

– Help CUDECA raise funds to care for many people at the end of life.<\/p>\n

– Cover the shifts of many volunteers who deserve a holiday.<\/p>\n

– Have a unique and enriching experience that is highly valued in the business world.<\/p>\n

– Meet people with the same tastes and interests as you.<\/p>\n

– Practise Spanish.<\/p>\n

– Feel part of the CUDECA family.<\/p>\n
