In 2021 our Home Care teams cared for more than 124 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses in Benalm\u00e1dena, and offered support to their families, completely free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayor stressed that &#8220;Today we have come to congratulate and thank all the Cudeca Hospice volunteers for the work they do.\u00a0 Thanks to their contribution they help to improve the lives of patients and their families throughout the province of M\u00e1laga&#8221;.\u00a0 He\u00a0also added that &#8220;people who are suffering the very difficult final stages of cancer find empathy, affection and sensitivity to achieve quality time in their last days and, of course, this Town Hall wants to help such organisations to provide support to our citizens in difficulty, and therefore for some time now we have recovered all the social aid that has been granted to these entities&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Alicia Laddaga commented that &#8220;this is a grant of 15,000 euros, which will be used to maintain the medical teams of the Cudeca Hospice Home Care Programme.\u00a0 Each medical team is made up of a doctor, a nurse, a social worker and a psychologist, as well as care volunteers&#8221; and she added that &#8220;this is a commendable service that Cudeca Hospice offers free of charge, which the Town Hall wants to support with this grant&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The Institutional Relations Coordinator, Aurea Peralta, thanked the Town Hall for its support and explained that the grant will go towards the Home Care Programme, which in 2021 cared for a total of 124 patients in Benalm\u00e1dena, a figure that is growing every year&#8221;.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On the 19th September the Mayor of Benalm\u00e1dena, V\u00edctor Navas, and the Councillor for Social Welfare, Alicia Laddaga, visited our Hospice Centre to inform us about the grant we have been awarded to help us with our Home Care Programme in Benalm\u00e1dena.
