Today, Tuesday 13th April, the CLC World Foundation<\/a><\/strong> visited the Cudeca Hospice Centre in Benalm\u00e1dena with the aim of\u00a0 supporting the “Walkahome – a walk at home” as sponsors.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by Hern\u00e1n Lara, Ambassador and Nuria Mart\u00edn, Communications Manager both of CLC World Foundation; together with Susan Hannam, Vice President, and \u00c1ngel Krebbers, Communications and Fundraising Manager of Cudeca Hospice.<\/p>\n

The representatives of CLC World Foundation received the official Walkahome t-shirts.<\/p>\n

This WalkaHOME has been possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of Fundaci\u00f3n CLC World, Freepik Company, Vithas Xanit Internacional, Viveros Guzm\u00e1n, Grupo OV, HC Cancer Centre Marbella and Ortoplus.<\/p>\n

\u00a0“WalkaHOME, Walk at home for Cudeca Hospice”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to the current situation of COVID-19, we are going through a very difficult time given the state of alarm and the impossibility of raising funds to continue caring for more than 1,600 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses in a year.<\/p>\n

To try to alleviate this situation, we are going to hold, as part of our \u201cSunflower Effect\u201d campaign, our \u201cWalkahome, a walk at home for Cudeca\u201d.<\/p>\n

It will take place on Saturday, May 23th from 9 a.m. to 2p.m.<\/p>\n

First: Sign up and get ready to your work out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants can register at www.dorsalchip.es or at www.cudeca.org. Registrations are \u20ac4 (bib number) and \u20ac8 (bib + T-shirt). An extra donation can also be made at the same time of registration to help Cudeca to continue caring at the end of life.<\/p>\n

After filling in your contact details, you will be pre-registered. You can continue to the payment page or follow the link you will get by email. Your charity bib number will be emailed to you.<\/p>\n

Each registration will be assigned a 100% solidarity bib that can be downloaded through the platform and worn on the day of the walk. T-shirts will be available for collection from April 12, together with the registration receipt, at the Cudeca Centre and in some of the Cudeca charity shops:<\/p>\n

Participants should plan their own workout taking into account their physical condition and the space available at their home and outside on the day of the walk on Sunday, May 23.\u00a0 This can also be planned to be done by family, as a team, with pets or by yourselves, and there will be no time or distance to be achieved, respecting preventive and hygienic measures against COVID.<\/p>\n

Workout activities for the WalkaHOME can sound like walking, running or skating, Cycling or exercise bike, swimming, squats, skipping rope, going up and down the stairs (non-communal), dancing\u00a0salsa, rock or any style, etc.<\/p>\n

Second: WalkaHOME Day – Sunday, 23rd May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants will be able to share photos of their workout wearing or showing their bib on social networks with the hashtag #CudecaWalkahome #Cudeca on the day from 9am til 2pm.\u00a0The Foundation will publish in its RRSS all photos and videos that are tagged with those hashtags.<\/p>\n

Third: Complementary activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

To complement the Walkahome, the Cudeca Hospice Foundation will broadcast different activities so that anyone can join from home to their Youtube channel and Facebook.\u00a0 There will be Pilates, Yoga, Cardio, Zumba classes for everyone and many more surprises.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
