[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last semester, the students of The English International College<\/a> made solidarity masks with the intention of raising funds to help in cancer care and chose our foundation as the beneficiary of their kind donation of 500 euros, which will be joined to our Sunflower Effect Campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These young supportive students were challenged to learn new skills to fulfil their solidarity project and have learned to cut and sew the fabric using a sewing machine on their own. The procedure was carefully thought out and they began by asking the rest of their classmates to bring in recycled cloth materials such as sheets, blankets and other fabrics, which they then used to sew the masks. These materials first had to be examined in detail to confirm that they were safe for use and then the manufacturing of the approved masks began. For weeks, this group of students had been cutting all the fabrics into the required shape, and once this process was completed, they set to work on the sewing and the masks.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the solidarity projects that the students must complete at school as part of their education.<\/p>\n

In the words of some of the young students participating in this solidarity adventure: “Thanks to this experience we felt proud of ourselves for being able to do something to help this charity and we are sure that all the students who helped feel identified with us. Thank you for letting us help”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

From the Cudeca Hospice we want to send our most sincere thanks to all the students of this school, The English International College<\/a>, for such a brave initiative and solidarity. We hope to be able to transmit to you our joy and satisfaction for the great example you show to our community.
