Hello everybody,<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Inmaculada Ruiz and I coordinate the Volunteering Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to tell you through this video <\/span>what is <\/span>the current situation of our Volunteering Progra<\/span>mme<\/span> and what we are doing now.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The assistance <\/span>given by <\/span>volunteers to<\/span> patients and their families through our assistance progra<\/span>mmes<\/span> was cancelled following the recommendations of the authorities about two weeks before the state of alert was decreed.\u00a0 But the volunteers\u2019 contact with them continues via phone, thus collaborating with the Care Teams in the prevention of isolation and loneliness of our patients and their families. This is a project we have initiated and comes to cover a very important need at this time <\/span>when <\/span>we are at home.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, you already know our Charity Stores remain closed, the charity events have been cancelled and the access to our centre is limited, so the volunteers <\/span>who <\/span>collaborate in other activities from ther<\/span>e <\/span>have also stopped doing so.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, much of our effort is aimed at keeping that bond we have with our volunteers, being close to them, keeping a seamless communication with them and taking care of them in these complicated circumstances we are living<\/span> through<\/span>. I<\/span>t is<\/span> the time to make them feel as the special part of CUDECA they are and I would say, without any dou<\/span>bt<\/span>, they are part of the solution and of the new challenges to come. The return to normal soon depends a lot on the commitment and on the solidarity of the entire community. Precisely, our volunteers know a lot <\/span>about <\/span>being committed and being supportive.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We need them or in other words, we need you full of good energy when we are back, so let’s take care of each other, together and united, as the campaign says #Unidosparacuidar<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to ask you to join the campaign from your houses, to join that sunflower campaign wherever you are, pass the sunflower because there is a bond that unites us all and that bond is CUDECA, so let\u2019s prove it!<\/span><\/p>\n
