He was accompanied by the General Secretary of Family Affairs Ana Carmen Mata; the General Director of Social and Health Care of the Regional Ministry of Health and Family Affairs Jos\u00e9 Repiso; the Manager of SAS Miguel A. Guzm\u00e1n; and the Provincial Delegate of Health Carlos Bautista.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Board of Trustees and directors of the hospice showed the facilities and explained in detail the different assistance programmes: Home Care, Psycho-Social Care, In-Patient Unit, Day Care Centre &amp; Rehabilitation, and Counseling and Information Programme. Every year CUDECA assists more than 1,400 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses, offering support to more than 2,200 family members.<\/p>\n<p>CUDECA had the opportunity to explain how the foundation is financed and talked about different aspects of the history of the hospice. Future plans were also explained, highlighting the construction and implementation of the Cudeca Institute for Studies and Research in Palliative Care, which is fully financed by Dr. Yusuf Hamied.<\/p>\n<p>The Andalusian Health Service has contracted out part of the care services provided by the foundation.
