On Thursday 17 October<\/strong> the Unicaja Foundation will celebrate its fifth anniversary in style with a concert in aid of\u00a0 Cudeca Hospice, with the performance of singer-songwriter Amancio Prada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The concert, which will take place at 20h in the “Sala Unicaja de Conciertos Mar\u00eda Cristina”<\/a>, will feature the guitar and voice of one of the Spanish troubadours of the twentieth century closely linked to poetry and the constant quest for beauty.<\/p>\n

Tickets are on sale on the Uniticket portal and cost 20\u20ac.<\/strong>

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to our special kind of caring, which assists more than 1,400 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses every year and offers support to their families, completely free of charge.<\/p>\n

The Unicaja Foundation supports programmes that work towards integration, reintegration and help for marginalised groups, associations that help the disabled, international cooperation, programmes and information campaigns on diseases such as Alzheimer’s and cancer, its main objective being to achieve greater levels of social welfare.<\/p>\n

We are grateful for the important support of the Unicaja Foundation, which helps us to add Life to the Days of many people.<\/p>\n

Amancio Prada<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in 1949 in Dehesas, Le\u00f3n, he studied harmony, composition and guitar at Sorbonne University.<\/p>\n

A composer and singer-songwriter of classical and contemporary poetry, he has performed in the main theatres of Spain and Europe, including the Teatro Espa\u00f1ol, Palau de la M\u00fasica de Barcelona, Piccolo Teatro de Mil\u00e1n, Teatro del Ode\u00f3n (Paris) and the Teatro Real de Madrid. \u00a0It has also participated in the IV Festival de M\u00fasica Sacra de Maastricht and the Auditorio Nacional de M\u00fasica in Madrid; in the IV Centenary of the Teatro Principal de Zamora; and in the MC Anniversary of the Kingdom of Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Throughout his career he has published a multitude of disk-books highlighting Sonetos de amor oscuro by Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca; A dama e o cabaleiro sobre la poes\u00eda neotrovadoresca; De mar e terra, a work of compilation and recreation of Galician coplas of oral tradition; Coplas de Jorge Manrique a la muerte de su padre; and Sonetos y canciones de Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca. His art has led him to obtain the Castelao Medal of the Xunta de Galicia; the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Arts Prize; the Gold Medal of the C\u00edrculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid; the Grand Prix du R\u00e9pertoire Sacem (Paris) and the Tenco All’ Operatore Culturale Prize (Italy).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
