{"id":21342,"date":"2019-07-02T15:00:56","date_gmt":"2019-07-02T15:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/?p=21342"},"modified":"2020-07-21T12:13:44","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T12:13:44","slug":"21342","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/gala-dinner-cudeca-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Great night at the Cudeca Hospice charity gala dinner"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice<\/strong> held its usual gala dinner on June 28 with the aim of raising funds to continue caring for people with cancer and other advanced illnesses and offer support to their families.<\/p>\n<p>More than 190 people enjoyed the exceptional cuisine of Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda and his team at his restaurant in Muelle Uno, M\u00e1laga, raising more than 16,000\u20ac \u00a0which will be used for the important care provided by the Cudeca Foundation, which every year assists more than 1,400 people and offers support to more than 2,100 family members, totally free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>The evening began with an exquisite cocktail of flavours and a Venenciadora, courtesy of the M\u00e1laga and Sierra de M\u00e1laga Wines Regulatory Council, welcoming the attendees. Once the cocktail had finished the diners went inside the restaurant to continue with the Gala dinner. Afterwards, Domi del Postigo, ambassador of Cudeca and journalist, conducted the traditional raffle with fantastic gifts donated by companies as well as the special raffle of the painting &#8220;Blood Pearls&#8221; by the artist Diego Checa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To end the night, the President of Cudeca, Ricardo Urdiales and the Executive &amp; Medical Director, Marisa Mart\u00edn, gave a bunch \u00a0flowers to Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda and Lourdes Luque for their continuous support and affection.<\/p>\n<p>The dinner counted with the participation of tables representing solidarity companies \u00a0such as Unicaja Banking Foundation, Pinturas Andaluc\u00eda, Official College of Nursing of M\u00e1laga, Official College of Doctors, Social Work &#8220;la Caixa&#8221;, JJ SPAIN, Distribuciones Luna, Top Digital, Vithas Xanit Hospital Internacional, Segurisur, CLC World Foundation, Official College of Doctors of M\u00e1laga and FYM Italcementi Group.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also in attendance were representatives of the Professional College of Physiotherapists of Andalusia, Professional College of Pharmacists, the Consulate of Saudi Arabia, the British Consulate in Malaga; CLC World Foundation, Malaga Foundation, Pe\u00f1arroya Group, Kempinsky Hotel Bahia, Jewellery Aurelio Marcos and De Cotta Law.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dinner was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Viveros Guzm\u00e1n, Bodegas Dimobe, Grupo Jorge Ordo\u00f1ez, Grupo L\u00f3pez Pardo and Fundaci\u00f3n M\u00e1laga; and to donations from Diego Checa, Hotel Estival Torrequebrada, Restaurante Santiago, Vithas Xanit International Hospital, Kempinski Hotel Bah\u00eda, Restaurante El Laurel, Restaurante La Escalera, Unicaja Baloncesto; GHD, Reservatauro, Restaurante Sollo, Selwo Marina, Exploram\u00e1s, Fotosol, Flamenco Campers, Nagomi Spa-Reserva del Higuer\u00f3n, Restaurante Beefeater, Benalm\u00e1dena Golf, Miguel \u00c1ngle Jin\u00e9nez Academy, AC M\u00e1laga Palacio and Hoteles El Fuerte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The gala dinner was attended by friends, associates, volunteers, employees and entities from Malaga, highlighting the President of the Colegio Oficial de M\u00e9dicos, Juan Jos\u00e9 S\u00e1nchez; the President of the Colegio Oficial de Enfermer\u00eda, Juan Antonio Astorga; the President of the Colegio Profesional de Fisioterapeutas de Andaluc\u00eda, Juan Manuel Nieblas; the President of the Colegio Profesional de Farmac\u00e9uticos, Francisco Florido; the President of the Fundaci\u00f3n CLC World, Juan Miguel Marcos; the Consul of Saudi Arabia, D.A.C.
