The donation had been raised by the Social Secretary\u2019s event where her partner, Jerry Long, decided he would shave off his beard to raise money for the local community. This generous gesture was very much appreciated by Joan who said she was proud to have been associated with the Lions over many years. Many members of the Club have benefitted from the care given by the team at the hospice, and most recently they lost Lion David Moore to cancer.
