The lights will shine every night until 6 January 2018.<\/div>\n<div>  On this special occasion the lights on the Hospice building were switched on by <strong>Joan Hunt O.B.E.<\/strong>, Cudeca Founder, together with directors <strong>Marisa Mart\u00edn <\/strong>and <strong>Rafael Olalla<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  In addition to switching on the lights, Father Christmas was present together with the choirs from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunnyviewschool.com\" target=\"_blank\">Sunny View School <\/a><\/strong>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/costasoulsingers\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Costa Soul Singers<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>  After the performances, Marisa Mart\u00edn Rosell\u00f3 presented <strong>Inmaculada Ramos and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda de las Pe\u00f1as<\/strong> with a diploma of gratitude for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/iniciativas-solidarias\/es\/evento\/reto-solidario-180-km-camino-por-la-senda-litoral-de-malaga\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>&#8220;Solidarity Challenge 180 kms Path<\/strong>&#8220;<\/a> from Maro to Manilva that took place from 4th to 10th December and raised more than 1,200\u20ac for the hospice charity.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The solidarity raffle was drawn offering great prizes donated by El Corte Ingl\u00e9s, Carrefour Torremolinos, Sabor a M\u00e1laga, Famadesa, Unicaja Basketball, M\u00e1laga CF, Nagomi Spa, Vithas Xanit International Hospital, Ice Club, Baboo Restaurant, Muebles David, GHD, Do\u00f1a Lola and many more. The draw for the Patchwork quilt was also held by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LuckyQInternational\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Lucky Quilters&#8221;<\/a><\/strong>, who raised \u20ac630 to benefit CUDECA.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  To conclude, the event continued outside the Centre with guests, families and friends.\u00a0 The lights are dedicated to loved ones and all those present were wished Good Health and a Happy Christmas.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  In addition, a letter was read from the mayor of Benalmadena, Victor Navas excusing his attendance at the event and sending affection and support to all those present.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  This was followed by a special prayer of\u00a0remembrance in honour \u00a0of loved ones and was followed by the lights of Cudeca Hospice being switched on accompanied by more than 200 candles carried by the attendees. At that special moment we enjoyed the exceptional performance of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/rodrigoorrego.com\" target=\"_blank\">Chilean tenor Rodrigo Orrego<\/a><\/strong> who delighted us with his rendering of &#8220;Noche de Paz&#8221; and &#8220;Adeste Fideles&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div>  <strong>If you wish to Light a Light for a loved one<\/strong>, please visit<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lightupcudeca.org\" target=\"_blank\"> www.lightupcudeca.org<\/a><\/strong>.
