{"id":16551,"date":"2017-10-17T19:15:37","date_gmt":"2017-10-17T19:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/actualidad\/musicstory-rocks-the-auditorium-with-the-cudeca-goldies\/"},"modified":"2017-10-17T19:15:37","modified_gmt":"2017-10-17T19:15:37","slug":"musicstory-rocks-the-auditorium-with-the-cudeca-goldies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cudeca.org\/en\/actualidad\/musicstory-rocks-the-auditorium-with-the-cudeca-goldies\/","title":{"rendered":"MusicStory rocks the Auditorium  with the Cudeca Goldies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"notCuerpo\">\n<div>During the weekend of the 23rd and 24th September, the <strong>MusicStory Festival <\/strong>took place at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auditoriobenalmadena.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Benalmadena Auditorium<\/strong><\/a>, next to Paloma Park to help us.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  Many acts performed to an expectant crowd as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cudecagoldies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Cudeca Goldies<\/strong><\/a> provided more than 5h entertainment each evening for the audience\u2019s enjoyment raising \u20ac8.002 for Cudeca Hospice.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  This special weekend was started by the incomparable <strong>Stelvis<\/strong> as he brought Elvis to life strutting around the stage with gestures and a very Elvis like voice that made everyone admire his talent. Following his performance, many individuals and groups brought their polished acts to this very special venue. The children from the <strong>Banana Studios <\/strong>were extraordinary in their timing, ability and professionalism as were <strong>Amalia and Paris<\/strong> from <strong>the Rising Stars<\/strong>.This event brought a diversity of people together, as we were all witnesses to a sprinkle of music through the ages from the 50\u2019s to the present day.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  All the following singers also performed out of their skin during this special Festival: <strong>Debra Stacey, Wayne Ward, Gordon Williams, Magnet Man,<\/strong> an exceptional <strong>Abba tribute<\/strong> was sung by <strong>Cath John, J.J.<\/strong> and <strong>friends <\/strong>and the impressive <strong>\u201cOne Wish\u201d Steve<\/strong> brought Scooters onto the stage, which provided the perfect backdrop to his <strong>\u201cThe Who\u201d tribute. <\/strong>The classy <strong>Rob Sas Duo <\/strong>brought an end to proceedings on the Saturday.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  On Sunday, 24th September, <strong>Laura Elen<\/strong> got our 80s &#8211; 90s night underway with her beautiful<strong> Kylie Minogue<\/strong> tribute before singing a stunning duo with <strong>Deborah Dee <\/strong>who then sung top musical numbers on her own from <strong>Cats<\/strong>, <strong>Les Miserable <\/strong>and other musicals from a bygone era.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The<strong> Banana Studios<\/strong> performed a completely new routine on the second day of the Festival, having the watching public dancing and cheering in their seats. <strong>Mr Maph and Simone Lisa<\/strong> sung some outstanding Motown songs and <strong>Loz Carter <\/strong>provided some typical 80s dance tracks that took us all back to the 80s era.<strong>Terry Shaughnessy<\/strong> sung some excellent 90s songs from groups like <strong>Oasis<\/strong> as well as tracks from his new very successful album<strong> Volcano.<\/strong><br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  The Festival came to a close by <strong>\u201cQueen of Magic\u201d<\/strong> as they had everyone dancing in front of the stage as <strong>Freddie Mercury and Co.<\/strong> were remembered in the best way possible to send everyone home happy.<br \/>  \u00a0<br \/>  <em>Thanks need to be given to all the acts for their dedication to Cudeca Hospice, to <strong>Michael Nunan<\/strong> for lending his expertise as the Stage Manager, to <strong>George John<\/strong> for providing the food and beverage and giving a sizeable donation to the Hospice.
