The Hon. President and Founder of Cudeca Hospice – Palliative Care Foundation, Joan Hunt OBE<\/strong>, has been one of those selected to receive the M\u00e1laga 2015 Dia de Andalucia Award<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

The Junta de Andalucia<\/a><\/strong> recognize a few selected personalities and organizations for their social, sportive, educational and healthcare impact at the community.<\/div>\n
In addition to Cudeca Hospice, the winners<\/strong> this year have been our trustee and leading oncologist\u00a0 Dr. Emilio Alba<\/strong>; \u00a0film director Enrique Garc\u00eda<\/strong>; \u00a0Faculty of Economics of\u00a0 the University of M\u00e1laga<\/strong>, Eugenio Luque; \u00a0player of the national team\u00b4s handball player,\u00a0Marta L\u00f3pez<\/strong>; \u00a0School CEIP Bergamin<\/strong>, \u00a0Asprodisis Association<\/strong>; \u00a0painter Carlos Monserrate<\/strong>; \u00a0pianist Paula Coronas<\/strong> and Alejandra Catering Company<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
The ceremony took place at the Telecommunications and Computer Engineering Building of the University of Malaga<\/a>, and was headed by leading authorities as the Counsellor of Education, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucia<\/a>, Luciano Alonso<\/strong>; Counsellor of the Andalusian Government<\/a>, Jos\u00e9 Luis Ruiz<\/strong>, and the Health Delegate of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda in M\u00e1laga<\/a>, Daniel Perez<\/strong>, who presented the award to Joan Hunt, OBE with a very moving speech.
